Intro to Modular Synthesis Workshop
July 27 at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$20 – $40

Curious about modular synths but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of modular synthesis using hardware instruments. We’ll demystify the key terms and concepts, and guide you step-by-step through creating your first patch. You’ll also get hands-on time to experiment, make some noise (or music!), and explore at your own pace.
No musical or electronics experience required.
The workshop runs from 2PM–5PM, with the final hour open for practice and Q&A.
Facilitator Bio: This workshop will be led by Alissa Derubeis. Alissa co-founded the Portland Synth Library in 2016 and Synth Library Prague in 2018. She focuses on introductory workshops and enjoys creating space for people to learn and experiment with electronics.
Materials: No materials or equipment required, but some folks have liked having pen & paper to take notes.
Max participants: 15.
